LocalPulse for pubs & bars

Every busy night has a reason. Staff for the next one.

Pub trade swings hard and for many reasons at once: a home fixture, a gig letting out, the first warm evening, the night before a bank holiday, payday. LocalPulse splits each day into those parts, so you can see whether the derby or the sunshine filled the place, and plan the rota for what is coming rather than what happened last year.

What moves your trade

The drivers that matter for pubs & bars

  • Sport and gigs

Home fixtures, arena shows and festivals, weighted by crowd size, distance and how much that crowd tends to drink out. Kick-off times and venues come from the shared city calendar.

  • Holiday eves and paydays

The night before a bank holiday is usually busier than the holiday itself. Payday weekends are modelled separately so they do not get mistaken for events.

  • Weather and the beer garden

Warm evenings against the seasonal normal, and heavy rain, which empties outdoor space faster than light drizzle.

  • Strikes and disruption

Transport strikes and closures that keep people at home, picked out of local news and confirmed by you.

Questions it answers

Ask it about your own days.

  • Was Saturday the match or the weather?
  • Which nights in the next two weeks need extra staff?
  • How much does a home game add compared with an away game on TV?
  • Did the tram strike cost us, and how much?

What you bring

  • Daily covers, transactions or takings from your till export (CSV)
  • Your own events (quiz nights, live music) can be logged so the model does not credit them to something else

A demo business, not a customer. Its weather and holidays are real; its events calendar is a realistic approximation; its covers are synthetic, generated from known effects plus noise so you can check that the model recovers them.
