LocalPulse for cafés
Bake for the weather you’re actually going to get.
For most cafés the weather is the biggest swing factor after the day of the week, and it is not just “sunny or not”. LocalPulse compares each day with what is normal for that month in your town, so a 17° day in April counts as warm and a 17° day in August does not. It then layers on the things the forecast app will not tell you: school holidays, a fun run past your door, roadworks outside.
What moves your trade
The drivers that matter for cafés
Temperature against normal
Warm and cold are measured against your town’s seasonal normal, not a fixed threshold, so the model learns what a warm spell does in spring versus summer.
Rain, wind and sunshine
Light and heavy rain are treated separately, as are wind and hours of sunshine. Seafront and outdoor-seating cafés usually show the strongest effects.
School holidays and holidays
Term dates and public holidays change who walks past. We track both and learn which direction they push your trade.
Things happening nearby
Markets, races, festivals and match days within walking distance, sized by attendance and how close they are.
Questions it answers
Ask it about your own days.
- How much of last Saturday’s rush was the sunshine?
- What should we expect over the next 16 days, given the forecast?
- Do school holidays help or hurt us?
- Which upcoming events are close enough to matter?
What you bring
- Daily covers, transactions or takings from your POS export (CSV)
- Raw rows never leave the import step; only daily totals are stored
