About
Busy nights have reasons. Most tools only show you the numbers.
LocalPulse exists to answer the question owners and managers ask every Monday: why was last week like that, and what is next week going to look like?
Why we built it
Hotels, cafés, pubs and rental fleets live and die by things that happen outside their doors: a concert, a cold snap, a strike, a school holiday on the other side of the world. The owner usually knows some of this already. What is missing is a way to see it all in one place, measured against their own trade rather than a rule of thumb.
Revenue-management systems for large hotels do some of this, at a price and complexity that doesn’t suit an independent business. Everyone else gets a spreadsheet, a weather app and a hunch. LocalPulse is our attempt at the middle: a model you can inspect, signals read for you every day, and a plain-English answer to “why?”.
We are early. The product launched in October 2026, and we are working closely with the first businesses that use it. If you run one and want to help shape it, we would like to hear from you.
How we work
Show the working
Every number on a dashboard can be traced back to a driver, an event, a headline or the weather. If we can’t explain a swing, we say so.
Earn trust with your data, not ours
We don’t quote accuracy figures or customer results we can’t back up. The forecast is backtested on your own history, where you can see it.
Keep only what we need
Daily totals, not customer records. Names and phone numbers in an export are discarded during import.
Share the calendar, never the figures
Every business in a town benefits from the same calendar of events and disruption. Nobody sees anybody else’s trade.
Who we are
LocalPulse is built and run by Prompt6 in New Zealand. We focus on businesses in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, and the product works for towns and cities worldwide.
We use AI where it is genuinely good, reading every event listing and headline for your town and writing clear summaries, and keep the arithmetic, the dates and the demand model in ordinary code you can check. The method page explains how it fits together.
See what moves your trade.
